Being a boss can be tough. It's challenging and fast-moving and there's lots of frustration. Maybe that's why so many of us count the No votes. We think about the team member who's troublesome and forget the six engaged team members. Or we obsess on one negative comment in our evaluation and ignore all the other, positive ones.
Take time to count the Yes votes. Think over your day and your week and remember the good times, the achievements, and the wins, both big and small. You'll discover a lot of good and you'll not only feel better, you'll be a better boss and human being.
