Turning Crisis Into Opportunity

To aid his nomination as the 1912 presidential candidate, Teddy Roosevelt and his running mate, Hiram Johnson, had 3 million pictures of themselves taken. Just before they were to be sent out right across the country, Roosevelt discovered that they hadn't obtained permission to publish them. They were told that legal penalties for the copyright violation might be as much as $3million.

But it was too late to turn back. The printing plates were ready and the convention about to start.

The chairman of the campaign committee decided on a different tack and sent a telegram to the photographer saying: "Planning to use 3 million copies of the Roosevelt photo. Great publicity opportunity for you. What will you pay us for using your picture?"

"Appreciate the offer," the photographer replied. "Can only pay $250."

The chairman accepted without a fight and both sides came out on top.

A One-Word Innovation

The story is told of how one shampoo manufacturer called in an outside consultant to help them come up with some ideas to increase the sales of a failing product.

At the end of a fruitless day looking at ideas, the consultant announced to the assembled executives: "Well, there is one way to double your sales overnight. So straightforward it can be put into one word. But to reveal it to you I will require a large fee."

The executives looked at one another in some disbelief. After some fevered discussion, they decided that any idea must be worth the fee. "OK. We agree. What is the word?"

"Well," said the consultant. "You know the instructions on the side of the bottle. Just add the word "repeat" at the end."

Growing Older Is Mandatory, Growing Up Is Optional

The first day of school our professor introduced himself and challenged us to get to know someone we didn't already know. I stood up to look around when a gentle hand touched my shoulder. I turned around to find a wrinkled, little old lady beaming up at me with a smile that that lit up her entire being.

She said, "Hi, handsome. My name is Rose. I'm eighty-seven years old. Can I give you a hug?" I laughed and enthusiastically responded, "Of course you may!" and she gave me a giant squeeze.

"Why are you in college at such a young, innocent age?" I asked.

She jokingly replied, "I'm here to meet a rich husband, get married, have a couple of children, and then retire and travel."

"No seriously," I asked. I was curious what may have motivated her to be taking on this challenge at her age.

"I always dreamed of having a college education and now I'm getting one!" she told me.

After class we walked to the student union building and share a chocolate milkshake. We became instant friends. Every day for the next three months we would leave class together and talk nonstop. I was always mesmerized listening to this "time machine" as she shared her wisdom and experience with me.

Over the course of the year, Rose became a campus icon and she easily made friends wherever she went. She loved to dress up and she reveled in the attention bestowed upon her from the other students. She was living it up.

At the end of the semester we invited Rose to speak at our football banquet. I'll never forget what she taught us. She was introduced and stepped up to the podium. As she began to deliver her prepared speech, she dropped her three by five cards on the floor. Frustrated and a little embarrassed she leaned into the microphone and simply said, "I'm sorry I'm so jittery. I gave up beer for Lent and this whiskey is killing me! I'll never get my speech back in order so let me just tell you what I know."

As we laughed she cleared her throat and began: "We do not stop playing because we are old; we grow old because we stop playing. There are only few secrets to staying young, being happy, and achieving success. "You have to laugh and find humor every day. You've got to have a dream. When you lose your dreams, you die. We have so many people walking around who are dean and don't even know it!"

"There is a huge difference between growing older and growing up. If you are nineteen years old and lie in bed for one full year and don't do one productive thing, you will turn twenty years old. If I am eighty-seven years old and stay in bed for a year and never do anything I will turn eighty-eight. Anybody can grow older. That doesn't take any talent or ability. The idea is to grow up by always finding the opportunity in change."

"Have no regrets. The elderly usually don't have regrets for what we did, but rather for things we did not do. The only people who fear death are those with regrets."

She concluded her speech by courageously singing The Rose. She challenged each of us to study the lyrics and live them out in our daily lives. At the years end Rose finished the college degree she had begun all those years ago.

One week after graduation Rose died peacefully in her sleep.

Knowing Where To Hammer

This is the story of the giant ship engine that failed ?

The ship's owners tried one expert after another, but none of them could figure it out how to fix the engine.

Then they brought in an old man who had been fixing ships since he was a youngster. He carried a large bag of tools with him,& when he arrived, he immediately went to work.He inspected the engine very carefully, from top to bottom.

Two of the ship's owners were there, watching this man, hoping he would know what to do. After looking things over, the old man searched into his bag & pulled out a small hammer. He gently tapped something. & instantly, the engine lurched into life & got started.

He carefully put his hammer away. The engine was fixed.! A week later, The owner received a bill from the old man for ten thousand Rs.

"What….?" the owner exclaimed. "He hardly did anything....!" So they wrote the old man a note saying "Please send us an Itemized bill." The man sent a bill that read:

Tapping with a hammer…...          Rs          2/-
But knowing where to hammer.....Rs   9,998/-
Total Rs Ten Thousand Only…..   Rs.10,000/-

So What Kind Of A Town Is This?

Once there was an old and very wise man. Every day he would sit outside a gas station in his rocking chair and wait to greet motorists as they passed through his small town. On this day, his granddaughter knelt down at the foot of his chair and slowly passed the time with him.

As they sat and watched the people come and go, a tall man who surely had to be a tourist -- since they knew everyone in the town -- began looking around as if he were checking out the area for a place to live.

The stranger walked up and asked, "So what kind of town is this that we're in?"

The older gentleman slowly turned to the man and replied," Well, what kind of town are you from?"

The tourist said, "In the town I'm from everyone is very critical of each other. The neighbors all gossip about everyone, and it's a real negative place to live. I'm sure glad to be leaving. It is not a very cheerful place."

The man in the chair looked at the stranger and said," You know, that's just how this town is."

An hour or so later a family that was also passing through stopped for gas. The car slowly turned in and rolled to a stop in front of where the older gentleman and his granddaughter were sitting. The mother jumped out with two small children and asked where the restrooms were. The man in the chair pointed to a small, bent-up sign that was barely hanging by one nail on the side of the door.

The father stepped out of the car and also asked the man, "Is this town a pretty good place to live?"

The man in the chair replied," What about the town you are from? How is it?"

The father looked at him and said, "Well, in the town I'm from everyone is very close and always willing to lend their neighbor a helping hand. There's always a hello and thank you everywhere you go. I really hate to leave. I feel almost like we are leaving family. "

The older gentlemen turned to the father and gave him a warm smile. "You know, that's a lot like this small town."

Then the family returned to the car, said their thank, waved goodbye and drove away.

After the family was in the distance, the granddaughter looked up at her grandfather and asked, "Grandpa, how come when the first man came into our town you told him it was a terrible place to live and when the family came in to town you told them it was a wonderful place to live? "

The grandfather lovingly looked down at this granddaughter's wondering blue eyes and said, "No matter where you move, you take your own attitude with you and that's what makes it terrible or wonderful. "

It's your attitude, not your aptitude that determines your altitude. Happiness is not something you find, it's something you create.

Training, Educate, Succeed

A consultant was visiting a top Japanese industrialist on a fact-finding mission. He was curious to find out how the Japanese workforce achieved such huge productivity gains over their counterparts in the West.

"First, we train," said the industrialist.

"Then what?" asked the consultant.

"We train," said the industrialist.

"And next?"

"We train."

Smiling, the consultant asked: "What do you do next? Train?"

"No," said the industrialist. "We educate."

"OK," said the consultant. "And then what?"

"Then we succeed," said the industrialist.

Life Is A Do-It-Yourself Project

An elderly carpenter was ready to retire. He told his employer-of his plans to leave the house building business and live a more leisurely life with his wife enjoying his extended family.

He would miss the paycheck, but he wanted to retire. They could get by. The contractor was sorry to see his good worker go and asked if he could build just one more house as a personal favor. The carpenter said yes, but his heart was not in his work. He resorted to shoddy workmanship and used inferior materials. It was an unfortunate way to end his career.

When the carpenter finished his work and the builder came to inspect the house, the contractor handed the front-door key to the carpenter. "This is your house," he said, "my gift to you."

What a shock! What a shame! If he had only known he was building his own house, he would have done it all so differently. Now he had to live in the home he had built none too well.

So it is with us. If we build our lives in a distracted way, reacting rather than acting, willing to put up less than the best. At important points we do not give the job our best effort. Then with a shock we look at the situation we have created and find that we are now living in the house we have built. If we had realized that we would have done it differently.

Think of yourself as the carpenter. Think about your house. Each day you hammer a nail, place a board, or erect a wall. Build wisely.

It is the only life you will ever build. Even if you live it for only one day more, that day deserves to be lived graciously and with dignity.

The plaque on the wall says, "Life is a do-it-yourself project."

Your attitudes and the choices you make today will be your life tomorrow, build it wisely.

Time To Think

The car-maker Henry Ford hired an efficiency expert to go through his plant. He said: "Find the unproductive people. Tell me who they are and I'll fire them!"

The expert made his rounds with his clipboard in hand and finally returned to Henry Ford's office with his report. "I've found a problem with one of your managers," he said. "Every time I walked past his office, he was sitting with his feet propped on the desk doing nothing. I definitely think you should consider getting rid of him."

When Ford asked who the man was, he shook his head and said: "I can't fire him. I pay that man to do nothing but think. And that's what he's doing."

The Value of Computers

Use computers to look busy. Any time you use a computer, it looks like work to the casual observer. You can send and receive personal e-mail, calculate your finances and generally have a blast without doing anything remotely related to work.

These aren't exactly the societal benefits that everybody from the computer revolution expected but they're not bad either. When you get caught by your boss--and you will get caught--your best defense is to claim you're teaching yourself to use the new software, thus saving valuable training dollars.

You're not a loafer, you're a self-starter. Offer to show your boss what you learned. That will make your boss scurry away like a frightened salamander.

An Elevating Idea

Jack Foster in his book "How to get Ideas" tells the following story about getting back to basics to solve problems.

An old office building with just two elevators found itself with an increase in numbers of people using the elevators. The result was that people spent a lot of time having to wait for the elevators to arrive.

There were several options put forward by the management team, such as a new stairwell, an extra elevator, staggered break times, and so on. But these were all impractical or expensive.

So, the manager decided to investigate and get to the bottom of the problem. What she discovered was that people were most irritated by not having anything to do while waiting for the lift to arrive. She decided therefore to put in floor-to-ceiling mirrors. Result? People were quite happy to wait for the elevators as they didn't mind taking a peak at themselves to check their appearance. Problem solved.

Moral: Don't Look for Solutions to Problems Until You Know What the Problem Is.

Do I Need to Test Employees After Training?

Testing helps you know what your workers learned from training so you can predict if they will perform their work more safely following training. Today our Safety Training Tips editor talks about the kinds of tests that are available and how to go about writing them.

True-False Tests Give You A Good Idea Of What Facts Trainees Received.
When designing true-false tests, keep these factors in mind:

  • Write statements that are clearly true or clearly false.
  • Take statements used in training and rephrase them slightly.
  • Avoid words that tip trainees to the answer, such as "may" or "generally" for true statements, or "always" or "never" for false statements.
  • Avoid double negatives, which make statements unnecessarily confusing.
  • Remember that you're not trying to stump trainees—you're trying to make sure they learned the material.
Multiple Choice May Be The Most Popular With Trainees, but they can be the hardest to write for trainers. Follow these suggestions when designing multiple choice tests:

  • Cover one topic per question.
  • Include only one right answer. Of course, you want all the choices to seem right, but make sure you don't get so close to right that someone might have a valid argument as to his or her choice being correct.
  • If space allows, use more than three choices. Remember, the more choices you have, the less guessing is involved (e.g., four choices means a guess rate of 25 percent, five choices means 20 percent).
  • Avoid always making the right answer the longest choice.
  • Avoid making the right answer choice "C" very often. This practice thwarts seasoned multiple-choice test takers, who know to guess "C" when in doubt. One way to achieve randomness is to list answers in alphabetical order.
  • Avoid giving a grammatical clue in your question, such as using "a" with only one answer beginning with a consonant or "an" with only one answer beginning with a vowel.
  • Limit your use of "all of the above" and "none of the above." But if you use it for one question, you must use it for at least one more, or trainees will take a clue that it's probably the right choice for the only question where you included it.
Matching Tests Are Used Less Often But Can Be Fun For the Trainee and much easier to design for trainers. Here's how to write a matching quiz:

  • Cover one topic per matching exercise. For example, one test could match a list of chemicals with a list of personal protective equipment the chemical requires. A separate test could match a list of chemical regulations with a list of quotations from those regs. Or one test could match a list of employment laws with a list of the rights they protect and another test could list employment law acronyms with a list of their full names.
  • Limit the number of items to around 10. Fewer than 8 can be too easy and more than 12 can get too confusing.
  • Lay out the test on one page so trainees don't have to flip back and forth.
  • Make the items in each list brief. Use names, objects, tools, agencies, etc. Avoid making an item longer than one sentence.
Fill-In-the-Blank Tests Can Be Tricky to Write, But They Prove That Trainees Learned the Information because they have to produce the right answer without seeing it on the page as in any of the previous tests mentioned. Follow these tips for composing fill-in-the-blank questions:

  • Use only one blank per question. Too many blanks don't give trainees enough information to even grasp the topic.
  • Keep the blanks to specific information, such as regulation titles or government agencies. Make the nouns or verbs in a sentence the blank lines, not the adjectives or adverbs.
  • Phrase statements so that there can be only one answer that correctly fills in the blank.
  • Place blanks later in the sentence, which helps to give trainees the context of the topic.
  • Avoid grammatical clues immediately preceding the blank, such as "a" or "an."
Some Training Is Best Measured By Hands-On Performance. Learning how to use a new piece of equipment is an obvious example. In any case, testing your employees after training is an invaluable tool to help you see how effective your training is—and to improve if you need to.

Why It Matters

  • Regulation compliance prevents costly fines.
  • Proper procedures prevent accidents, lost workdays, and workers' compensation costs.
  • Emergency preparation aids quick evacuation.
  • First-aid training saves lives.

13 Things Not to Share With Your Co-workers

It's happened to everyone before. The constant flow of words that just keep coming, long after you've made your point (if there ever was one) and even longer after people stopped caring. The kind of gibberish that just won't stop unless someone else starts talking. The type of chatter that inevitably ends with you wishing you'd put a sock in it.

Yes, verbal diarrhea is never a good thing -- but it can be worse in some places more than others.

Like the workplace.

There are certain things co-workers need not know about each other -- your baby-making plans and stomach issues, for example -- but some folks just can't seem to keep their mouths shut.

Some people talk to hear the sound of their own voice; others share because they don't really have a life and, by revealing details you'd rather not know, they create the illusion of one, says Linda Lopeke, a career advancement expert and creator of SmartStart Virtual Mentoring Programs. "Then there is the person who believes gossip, even about them, creates instant emotional intimacy. It doesn't."

Walk The Line.

Because people spend more time at the office with co-workers than anywhere (or anyone) else, some workers have trouble drawing the line between business and friendship, says Susan Solovic, co-founder and CEO of SBTV.com, and author of three books, including "Reinvent Your Career: Attain the Success You Desire and Deserve."

"It's a social environment as well as a work environment. However, you must remember while you can be friendly and develop a good rapport, business is business and friendship is friendship."

Most workers don't realize that what they say has as much impact on their professional images as what they wear, Lopeke says. People who say too much, about themselves or others, can be seen as incompetent, unproductive and unworthy of professional development.

To avoid your next case of verbal diarrhea, here are 13 things to never share or discuss with your co-workers.

1. Salary Information
What you earn is between you and Human Resources, Solovic says. Disclosure indicates you aren't capable of keeping a confidence.

2. Medical History
"Nobody really cares about your aches and pains, your latest operation, your infertility woes or the contents of your medicine cabinet," Lopeke says. To your employer, your constant medical issues make you seem like an expensive, high-risk employee.

3. Gossip
Whomever you're gossiping with will undoubtedly tell others what you said, Solovic says. Plus, if a co-worker is gossiping with you, most likely he or she will gossip about you.

4. Work Complaints
Constant complaints about your workload, stress levels or the company will quickly make you the kind of person who never gets invited to lunch, Solovic warns. If you don't agree with company policies and procedures, address it through official channels or move on.

5. Cost Of Purchases
The spirit of keeping up with the Joneses is alive and well in the workplace, Lopeke says, but you don't want others speculating on the lifestyle you're living -- or if you're living beyond your salary bracket.

6. Intimate Details
Don't share intimate details about your personal life. Co-workers can and will use the information against you, Solovic says.

7. Politics Or Religion
"People have strong, passionate views on both topics," Solovic says. You may alienate a co-worker or be viewed negatively in a way that could impact your career.

8. Lifestyle Changes
Breakups, divorces and baby-making plans should be shared only if there is a need to know, Lopeke says. Otherwise, others will speak for your capabilities, desires and limitations on availability, whether there is any truth to their assumptions or not.

9. Blogs Or Social Networking Profile
What you say in a social networking community or in your personal blog may be even more damaging than what you say in person, Solovic warns. "Comments online can be seen by multiple eyes. An outburst of anger when you are having a bad day … can blow up in your face."

10. Negative Views Of Colleagues
If you don't agree with a co-worker's lifestyle, wardrobe or professional abilities, confront that person privately or keep it to yourself, Lopeke says. The workplace is not the venue for controversy.

11. Hangovers & Wild Weekends
It's perfectly fine to have fun during the weekend, but don't talk about your wild adventures on Monday, Solovic advises. That information can make you look unprofessional and unreliable.

12. Personal Problems & Relationships --- In & Out Of the Office
"Failed marriages and volatile romances spell instability to an employer," Lopeke says. Office romances lead to gossip and broken hearts, so it's best to steer clear. "The safest way to play is to follow the rule, 'Never get your honey where you get your money.'"

13. Off-color Or Racially Charged Comments
You can assume your co-worker wouldn't be offended or would think something is funny, but you might be wrong, Solovic says. Never take that risk. Furthermore, even if you know for certain your colleague wouldn't mind your comment, don't talk about it at work. Others can easily overhear.

Marvelous Answer By Hear Surgeon

A mechanic was removing the cylinder heads from the motor of a car when he spotted the famous heart surgeon in his shop, which was standing off to the side, waiting for the service manager to come to look at his car.

The mechanic shouted across the garage, "Hello Doctor! Please come over here for a minute."

The famous surgeon, a bit surprised, walked over to the mechanic.

The mechanic straightened up, wiped his hands on a rag and asked argumentatively, "So doctor, look at this. I also open hearts, take valves out, grind 'em, put in new parts, and when I finish this will work as a new one. So why do you get the big money, when you and me is doing the same work? "

The doctor leaned over and whispered to the mechanic...

He Said: "Try To Do It When the Engine Is Running".

Red Bull & Bison - Slow Death

Slow Death

France & Denmark have banned it from the country...

Red Bull & Bison - Slow Death ...

Do Not Drink These Anymore!!

Pay Attention; Read It All

As a public health safety, please pass on this email to all the contacts in your address book especially those with teenage children?

These drinks are SOLD in all the supermarkets IN OUR country and our children ARE CONSUMING IT ON A TRIAL BASIS, IT can be mortal.

Red Bull & Bison
was created to stimulate the brains in people who are subjected to great physical force and in stress coma and never to be consumed like an innocent drink or soda pop.

Red Bull & Bison
IS the energizer DRINK that is commercialized world-wide with its slogan:’ It increases endurance; awakens the concentration capacity and the speed of reaction, offers more energy and improves the mood. All this can be found in a can of RED BULL & BISON , the power drink of the millennium.

Red Bull & Bison
has managed to arrive at almost 100 countries worldwide. The RED BULL & BISON logo is targeted at young people and sportsmen, two attractive segments that have been captivated by the stimulus that the drink provides.

It was created by Dietrich Mateschitz, an industrialist of Austrian origin who discovered the drink by chance. It happened during a business trip to Hong Kong , when he was working at a factory that manufactured toothbrushes.

The liquid, based on a formula that contained caffeine and taurine, caused a rage in that country. Imagine the grand success of this drink in Europe where the product still did not exist, besides it was a superb opportunity to become an entrepreneur.

BUT THE TRUTH ABOUT THIS DRINK IS ANOTHER THING:

FRANCE and DENMARK have just prohibited it as a cocktail of death, due to its vitamin components mixed with GLUCURONOLACTONE' , a highly dangerous chemical, which was developed by the United States Department of Defense during the sixties to stimulate the moral of the troops based in VIETNAM, which acted like a hallucinogenic drug that calmed the stress of the war.

But their effects in the organism were so devastating, that it was discontinued, because of the high index of cases of migraines, cerebral tumors and diseases of the liver that was evident in the soldiers who consumed it.

And in spite of it, in the can of Red Bull & Bison you can still find as one of its components: GLUCURONOLACTONE, categorized medically as a stimulant. But what it does not say on the can of, Red Bull & Bison are the consequences of its consumption, and that has forced us to place a series of WARNINGS:

1.
It is dangerous to take it if you do not engage in physical exercise afterwards, since its energizing function accelerates the heart rate and can cause a sudden attack.

2.
You run the risk of undergoing a cerebral hemorrhage, because Red Bull & Bison contains components that dilute the blood so that the heart utilizes less energy to pump the blood, and thus be able to deliver physical force with less effort being exerted.

3.
It is prohibited to mix Red Bull & Bison with alcohol, because the mixture turns the drink into a " Deadly Bomb " that attacks the liver directly, causing the affected area never to regenerate anymore.

4.
One of the main components of Red Bull & Bison is the B12 vitamin, used in medicine to recover patients who are in a coma; from here the hypertension and the state of excitement which is experienced after taking it, as if you were in a drunken state.

5.
The regular consumption of Red Bull & Bison triggers off symptoms in the form of a series of irreversible nervous and neuronal diseases.

Conclusion:
It is a drink that should be prohibited in the entire world as when it is mixed with alcohol it creates a TIME BOMB for the human body, mainly between innocent adolescents and adults with little experience. Forward this mail to Everyone and Let them know about this..

Unlikely To Succeed

In "Survival in the Executive Jungle", Chester Burger tells the story of W.Maxey Jarman, the dynamic executive who built the $400 million corporation Genesco Inc. and became its chairman.

Curious to know how his Genesco executives were chosen, Jarman was told that they all took psychometric tests. Jarman therefore arranged anonymously to put himself forward for one of the tests. He completed the tests as honestly as he could.

The report that came back stated that he was too shy and self-conscious ever to deal successfully with the type of business Genesco were in and would in all probability not get very far in management.

Managing Temps, Casuals, Part-Timers and Contractors

At the bottom of India's hierarchical caste system are the Dalits, otherwise known as the Untouchables.  They're relegated to dangerous and dirty jobs, such as cleaning human waste and other forms of slavery.  Since the Untouchables are perceived to be impure and polluting, they're usually segregated from the other castes so that they don't share the same housing, water, and temples.  In effect, they're second-class citizens.

One such second-class citizen was Narendra Jadhav, pictured.  He grew up in a slum.  His family of nine lived in a room measuring a mere 10 feet by 10 feet.  No bathroom.  No internal lighting.  No hope of escape.  And yet Narendra went from this squalid environment to eventually getting his PhD.  He became the Chief Economist of the Reserve Bank of India and then vice-chancellor of Pune University, achievements never before attained by a Dalit.

Second-class citizens exist in modern-day organisations, too.  They're the casual workers putting in a few hours a week.  They're the temps hired to help out during a peak period.  They're the contractor with no hope of more work when the project's over.  And just like the Untouchables, they're treated differently because they're not like 'normal' employees.

If we look at the three people who had the greatest influence on Narendra's life, we can derive lessons on how to engage and manage the Corporate Untouchables.

His Father:  Narendra's dad was obsessed with education.  He'd force him to study, beat him when he didn't, and threatened to go on a hunger strike to get him into a good school.

The lesson:  Develop your Corporate Untouchables as if they're going to be with you forever.  Coach them as often as you coach your full-timers.  Train them with as much enthusiasm.

His Teacher:  Narendra avoided school competitions due to lower-caste insecurities. One teacher convinced him of his potential by showing and reminding him of his talents.

The lesson:  Corporate Untouchables need support and recognition like everyone else.  As Narendra describes his own management style, "Most important thing is the human touch."

His Boss: Narendra's boss told him he's an asset, but unlike many managers who just say it, he demonstrated it by creating opportunities that enabled Narendra to prove himself.

The lesson:  People are motivated strongly by progress in whatever way they define it.  Their future longevity shouldn't impact how much you involve them, consult them, and trust them.

You probably already do the above with your full-timers.  Yet for some reason, perhaps because of busyness or questionable loyalty, most managers treat Corporate Untouchables differently.  They're commonly excluded and neglected because they're not around as much or as long.  But today, Narendra holds a senior cabinet post with India's ruling political party.  That would never have happened had he always been treated as an Untouchable.

1st year students of MBBS were attending their 1st anatomy class. They all gathered around the surgery table with a real dead dog. The Professor started class by telling two important qualities as a Doctor.

The 1st is that NEVER BE DISGUSTED FOR ANYTHING ABOUT BODY, e.g. He inserted his finger in dog's mouth & on drawing back tasted it in his own mouth.

Then he said them to do the same. The students hesitated for several minutes. But eventually everyone inserted their fingers in dog's mouth & then tasted it. When everyone finished, the Professor looked at them and said: The most important 2nd quality is OBSERVATION; I inserted my Middle finger but tasted the Index finger. Now learn to pay attention.

Changing Lives

Some years ago I attended a self-improvement seminar and the speaker was Jim Rohn. He said, "Everything matters in life, some things a little and some things a lot, we just don't know which is which." And I believed him.

Now if I may, I would like to relate a personal experience which occurred when I was a motorcycle officer that strengthened this belief and taught a young man that everything in life does indeed matter.

I was a motorcycle officer with the Los Angeles Police Department and I was working speed complaints out of West Traffic Division. On the 6th of January, 1986, I was working a speed complaint on one of the streets in the hills of Bel Air. It was around 9:30 in the morning. I was stopped at the base of a hill and had set up my radar on the handlebar of my motorcycle and was watching the traffic coming down the hill.

This was a residential area and the road was narrow with numerous curves and was posted at 25 miles per hour. I had just finished writing a couple of tickets when I heard the audio on the radar, looked up the road and saw a small sports car coming down the hill. I glanced at the digital readout on the radar unit and saw that the car was traveling close to 50 miles per hour. I stepped out into the street and waved the driver over to the curb.

The driver was a young man in his early 20's on his way to UCLA for a morning class. I told him why I had stopped him and started to write him a ticket. He, of course, didn't want the ticket and tried to talk me out of it. His name was Christopher and he was a good kid. But he was trying his best to get me to not write him a ticket. Never rude, always polite, but determined to convince me to let him go.

We bantered back and forth, he would raise his voice in support of his position, but I calmly explained why he should get the ticket. When he saw I was still going to write him the ticket, he asked me, "What If I had not stopped, you were not on your motorcycle, would you have chased me?" I replied, "Most likely not".

About this time, I heard the audio on the radar and noticed that the digital readout registered 52 miles per hour. I looked up and saw a young man coming down the hill on a motorcycle. I stepped out in front of him and waved him into the curb. He was going too fast and passed us, but he was slowing down. I walked towards the motorcycle rider and my back was to Christopher.

The motorcyclist had turned around and was coming back to me. The he suddenly made a quick U-turn and sped down the hill. I turned around and walked back to Christopher and said, "Well, one got away."

He said, "I waved him on".

I said, "What?"

He said, "I waved him on."

I replied, "Oh, no! You should not have done that."

He had a puzzled look on his face and asked, "Why not, it won't matter?"

I told him everything in life matters, some things a little and some things a lot. We just don't know which is which. The look on Christopher's face clearly indicated to me that he did not believe me. I finished the ticket and we talked a little more about life and philosophy, then Christopher went to class and I went to court.

Three days later, I was back working that same area and had three cars stopped. While I was writing the tickets, I noticed that a car coming up the hill had stopped across from me. There were three or four guys in the car. It was obvious to me that they were waiting to talk to me.

I finished the last ticket and the driver of the car got out and walked over to me. He had a very sad look about him. I could tell something was bothering him. As he approached me, he asked, "Do you remember me?"

"Yes," I replied, "you are Christopher."

He then said, "You taught me a valuable lesson the other day when you told me that everything in life matters. I didn't believe you then, but now I do."

"How do you mean?" I asked.

"Do you remember the boy on the motorcycle?" he asked.

"Yes," I replied, "I do remember him."

"Well," he said, "he was my roommate and that is why I waved him on. I thought I was helping him. After he turned around he made a wrong turn and went down a street, which ended in a cul-de-sac and hit a large planter in the center of the cul-de-sac. He died instantly. You were right when you said everything in life matters."

I was shocked and found it hard to believe, even though I had been with LAPD for 18 ½ years. We talked for a few more minutes. I expressed my sorrow, we shook hands and then we both left.

I rode to the station in Venice and looked up the traffic reports for the 6th of January and sure enough there it was. I still could not believe it. I mentioned what had happened to another officer whose was in the station at the time. His response was that the kid deserved to die for fleeing the scene; I thought this cannot be happening; I don't want to be like him.

As police officers and especially motor officers we are suppose to be saving lives, not pleased because some kid made a bad decision and died. Over the next several days I gave a lot of thought to this situation and my life in general. I decided I didn't want to be a police officer anymore and I needed a change. So I resigned in February 1986 after 18 ½ years with LAPD to pursue my passion, network marketing.

I thought that I should listen to my own advice about how everything matters and look at this situation as an opportunity to make some serious changes in my life. I've never regretted leaving LAPD even though my business plans didn't quite work the way I had hoped back in 1986. But over the years they have and I have had a successful network marketing business since 1995.

Could now be the time for you to make a life change? If it is, I would encourage you to do so. Based on my experience you will not be sorry. I will be 68 in September 2010, I'm in great health and could not be happier.

The Gift of Intelligence

John Wanamaker was renowned as the king of retail service. One day while walking through his store in Philadelphia, he noticed a customer waiting to be served. No one was paying the least bit of attention to her.

Looking around, he saw his salespeople huddled together laughing and talking among themselves. Without a word, he quietly slipped behind the counter and waited on the customer himself. Then he quietly handed the purchase to the salespeople to be wrapped and went on his way.

Later, Wanamaker was quoted as saying: "I learned thirty years ago that it is foolish to scold. I have enough trouble overcoming my own limitations without fretting over the fact that God has not seen fit to distribute evenly the gift of intelligence."

A Stormy Night

You are driving along in your car on a wild, stormy night. You pass by a bus stop, and you see three people waiting for the bus:

1. An old lady who looks as if she is about to die. 2. An old friend who once saved your life. 3. The perfect man (or) woman you have been dreaming about.

Which one would you choose to offer a ride to, knowing that there could only be one passenger in your car.

Think before you continue reading. This is a moral/ethical dilemma that was once actually used as part of a job application.

You could pick up the old lady, because she is going to die, and thus you should save her first; or you could take the old friend because he once saved your life, and this would be the perfect chance to pay him back. However, you may never be able to find your perfect dream lover again.

The candidate who was hired (out of 200 applicants) had no trouble coming up with his answer.

He simply answered: "I would give the car keys to my old friend, and let him take the lady to the hospital. I would stay behind and wait for the bus with the man (or woman) of my dreams."

Buddha & the Squirrel

Buddha who had set out to search for truth was so long in finding it that he became discouraged and decided to return home. As he was leaving, he came across a squirrel dipping its tail into the water of a lake and shaking it over the land.

"Little squirrel," he said. "What are you doing?" "I'm emptying this lake," said the squirrel. "But you will never be able to do that," said Buddha. "If you dipped your tail into the lake a million times, there would still be nearly as much water there as before." "Well," said the squirrel, "I shall
still persevere."

Buddha learned the lesson and resolved to continue his search for truth.

Me and My Boss

When I take a long time, I am slow. When my boss takes a long time, he is thorough.

When I don't do it, I am lazy. When my boss doesn't do it, he is too busy.

When I do something without being told, I am trying to be smart. When my boss does the same, that is initiative.

When I please my boss, I am ass-kissing. When my boss pleases his boss, he is co-operating.

When I do good, my boss never remembers. When I do wrong, he never forgets.

When I make a mistake, I am an idiot. When my boss makes a mistake, he's only human.

When I am out of the office, I am wandering around. When my boss is out of the office, he's on business.

Attend Every Argument

"I don't have to attend every argument I'm invited to."  ~~~ Author Unknown

We came across this quote recently and just had to share it. It's a good reminder to all of us that conflict is all about our response. We don't have to get sucked in every time someone does or says something that we might disagree with. Choose your arguments. And choose wisely. Consider whether the issue is really important enough to you for you to invest your time and effort.

Persistence

Two frogs happened one day to come upon a milk churn standing in the farmyard. Feeling thirsty, they both jumped in and drank their fill. When they sought a way out however, there was none; the sides of the churn were too smooth and slippery.

After battling for some time, they were both exhausted. "Come on," encouraged the younger frog; "there must be a way out." "No," replied the older frog. "It's no good. We've had it." And with that he sank to the bottom of the churn and drowned.

The younger frog refused to give up. He kicked and kicked for what seemed hours until suddenly with one leap he was free. When he looked back to discover what had enabled him to get out, he saw that, with all his kicking, the milk had turned to butter.

Floating Ideas About

In 1879, the Proctor and Gamble company's best seller was candles. But Thomas Edison had just patented the electric light bulb. Within a short space of time, the market for candles had collapsed and the company were in trouble.

However, destiny turned their fortunes around. At their factory in Cincinatti, a forgetful employee had one day gone to lunch and forgotten to turn the candle-making machine off. When he returned, he found a mass of frothing lather filled with air bubbles. Rather than discard the batch, he decided to turn it into soap. To his surprise, he found that the soap floated.

At that time, many people still bathed in the Ohio river. The idea of a soap that floated and never got lost appealed to them. Thus Ivory soap was born and became the mainstay of the Proctor and Gamble company for many years to come.

You Never Know...

The Sultan of Persia had sentenced two men to death.

One of the men, knowing how much the sultan liked his stallion, offered to teach the horse to fly within a year if the sultan would spare him his life.

The sultan, fancying himself as the rider of the only flying horse in the world, agreed.

"You're mad," said the other prisoner. "You know that horses can't fly. You're only putting off the inevitable." "Not so," said the first prisoner. "I have four chances of escaping my sentence.

First, the sultan might die. Secondly, I might die. Thirdly, the horse might die. And fourth...I might teach the horse to fly."

The Graduate's First Day

A young man, hired by a supermarket, reported for his first day of work. The manager greeted him with a warm handshake and a smile, gave him a broom and said, "Your first job will be to sweep out the store." "But I'm a college graduate." the young man replied indignantly. "Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't know that," said the manager. "Here, give me the broom, I'll show you how."

Eye Safety for Emergency Responders

Emergency workers responding to disasters like the recent earthquake in Haiti are exposed to numerous safety and health hazards; among them, eye injuries.

We all watched in horror as the news footage of the devastation in Haiti played out across our TV and computer screens. Disasters like this underscore the dangers faced by emergency responders, especially those working their way through the rubble of collapsed buildings. Today, we're going to focus on one particular danger—eye hazards.

According to NIOSH, the most common eye hazards faced by emergency workers at the structural collapse of large buildings are:

  • Dust, concrete, and metal particles
  • Falling or shifting debris, building materials, and glass
  • Smoke and noxious or poisonous gases
  • Chemicals (acids, bases, fuels, solvents, lime, and wet or dry cement powder)
  • Cutting or welding light and electrical arcing
  • Thermal hazards and fires
  • Bloodborne pathogens from blood, bodily fluids, and human remains
Common Eye Injuries

Injuries commonly suffered by emergency workers facing these hazards include:

  • Corneal abrasions and conjunctivitis (red eyes)
  • Concrete or metal particles or slivers embedded in the eye
  • Chemical splashes or burns
  • Welder's flash
  • Eyeball laceration
  • Facial contusions and black eyes
Recommended Eye Protection

NIOSH says that before selecting the best eye protection for emergency workers, a competent person should assess the conditions and hazards at the site.

Safety glasses with side protection would be considered minimum required protection for such conditions. When using safety glasses, workers should wear a retainer to keep the glasses tight to the face or hanging from the neck when not in use.

When more protection is needed—for example, to protect from high impacts, dusty environments, and chemical splashes—goggles should be worn. The best goggles for emergency workers dealing with collapsed buildings are designed with high air flow, minimum fogging, and maximum particle and splash protection.

Alternatively, NIOSH suggests hybrid eye safety products with the comfort of glasses, the enclosure of goggles, and better breathability. Wraparound hybrids also provide better peripheral vision than conventional goggles.

A face shield over eye protection is recommended for greater protection, especially to protect workers from high-impact hazards during chipping and grinding operations. Face shields also protect from chemical and bloodborne hazards that could be sprayed or splashed onto the face. But workers should understand that the requirement is for face shield with eye protection, never just a face shield alone, because the curve of the face shield can direct particles or chemicals from the side right into the eyes.

Workers engaged in cutting or welding activities should use a welding helmet, goggles, or welding respirator with the appropriate lens shade. Welders' helpers, other workers, and bystanders must be protected from light and sparks as well.

Additional Requirements

All eye protection must comply with ANSI Z87.1 requirements. New safety glasses with polycarbonate lenses should be hard coated to reduce scratching. And polycarbonate or Trivexâ lenses should be used for prescription safety glasses.

Tomorrow, we'll continue talking about emergency response and eye safety, focusing on first aid for eye injuries.

Diet Soft Drinks

Regular intake of soft drinks ensures a dangerous habit pattern, which later becomes difficult to break. Soft drinks are a mixture of health destroying ingredients like-

■ Phosphoric acid it enhances the absorption of carbon dioxide and also slowly releases the bubbles of carbon dioxide. It is very sour so to neutralize it, lots of sugar is added. It is a strong chemical and is used to clear a clogged shower. A tooth will dissolve in this acid.

■ Sugar The high sugar content causes blood sugar levels to rise. Insulin is secreted from the pancreas to bring the blood sugar level down. Overuse of soft drinks wears out the pancreas and makes the cells resistant to insulin, resulting in the disease we know as diabetes. It also impairs the immune functions, hence causing chronic infections.

■ Caffeine Caffeine is a mild drug that can have harmful effects, especially on youngsters. Large amounts of consumption of caffeine can cause insomnia, nervousness, anxiety, irritability and deviations from the normal heart rate. It is an addictive substance that increases the excretions of calcium in the urine and boosts the risks of osteoporosis.

■ Aluminium The phosphoric acid in the drink leaches away toxic amounts of aluminium from the can. Aluminium is deposited in the brain and bone tissue, it causes lesions in the brain tissue lesions that are very similar to the ones found in someone suffering from Alzheimer's disease. Exposure to aluminium causes the increase in bone breakdown while reducing new bone formation.

■ Polyethylene glycol─ it is used to give a darker appearance to the drink and glycol is used to prevent the drink from freezing. Scientists believe polyethylene glycol is a carcinogen.

Some of the latent health mishaps of drinking soft drinks are obesity, diabetes, tooth decay, osteoporosis, nutritional deficiencies, heart diseases and kidney stones and other neurological disorders.

Once a while it is ok to have a soft drink however a regular habit can be dangerous to health

Sweet Poison Spartame & Diet Soda

In October of 2001, my sister started getting very sick. She had stomach spasms and she was having a hard time getting around.
Walking was a major chore. It took everything she had just to get out of bed; she was in so much pain. By March 2002, she had undergone several tissue and muscle biopsies and was on 24 various prescription medications. The doctors could not determine what was wrong with her. She was in so much pain, and so sick she just knew she was dying. She put her house, bank accounts, life insurance, etc., in her oldest daughter's name, and made sure that her younger children were to be taken care of.

She also wanted her last hooray, so she planned a trip to Florida (basically in a wheelchair) for March 22nd. On March 19 I called her to ask how her most recent tests went, and she said they didn't find anything on the test, but they believe she had MS. I recalled an article a friend of mine e-mailed to me and I asked my sister if she drank diet soda? She told me that she did. As a matter of fact, she was getting ready to crack one open that moment. I told her not to open it, and to stop drinking the diet soda! I e-mailed her article my friend, a lawyer, had sent. My sister called me within 32 hours after our phone conversation and told me she had stopped drinking the diet soda AND she could walk! The muscle spasms went away. She said she didn't feel 100% but, she sure felt a lot better.

She told me she was going to her doctor with this article and would call me when she got home. Well, she called me, and said her doctor was amazed! He is going to call all of his MS patients to find out if they consumed artificial sweeteners of any kind. In a nutshell, she was being poisoned by the Aspartame in the diet soda...and literally dying a slow and miserable death. When she got to Florida March 22, all she had to take was one pill, and that was a pill for the Aspartame poisoning! She is well on her way to a complete recovery. And she is walking! No wheelchair! This article saved her life. If it says 'SUGAR FREE' on the label; DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT IT! I have spent several days lecturing at the WORLD ENVIRONMENTAL CONFERENCE on 'ASPARTAME,' marketed as 'Nutra Sweet,' 'Equal,' and 'Spoonful.'

In the keynote address by the EPA, it was announced that in the United States in 2001 there is an epidemic of multiple sclerosis and systemic lupus. It was difficult to determine exactly what toxin was causing this to be rampant. I stood up and said that I was there to lecture on exactly that subject. I will explain why Aspartame is so dangerous: When the temperature of this sweetener exceeds 86 degrees F, the wood alcohol in ASPARTAME converts to formaldehyde and then to formic acid, which in turn causes metabolic acidosis. Formic acid is the poison found in the sting of fire ants. The methanol toxicity mimics, among other conditions, multiple sclerosis and systemic lupus. Many people were being diagnosed in error. Although multiple sclerosis is not a death sentence, Methanol toxicity is! Systemic lupus has become almost as rampant as multiple sclerosis, especially with Diet Coke and Diet Pepsi drinkers.

The victim usually does not know that the Aspartame is the culprit. He or she continues its use; irritating the lupus to such a degree that it may become a life-threatening condition. We have seen patients with systemic lupus become asymptotic, once taken off diet sodas. In cases of those diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, most of the symptoms disappear. We've seen many cases where vision loss returned and hearing loss improved markedly. This also applies to cases of tinnitus and fibromyalgia. During a lecture, I said, 'If you are using ASPARTAME (Nutra Sweet, Equal, Spoonful, etc) and you suffer from fibromyalgia symptoms, spasms, shooting, pains, numbness in your legs,Cramps, Vertigo, Dizziness, Headaches, Tinnitus, Joint pain, Unexplainable depression, anxiety attacks, slurred speech, blurred vision, or memory loss you probably have ASPARTAME poisoning!' People were jumping up during the lecture saying, 'I have some of these symptoms. Is it reversible?'

Yes! Yes! Yes! STOP drinking diet sodas and be alert for Aspartame on food labels! Many products are fortified with it! This is a serious problem. Dr. Espart (one of my speakers) remarked that so many people seem to be symptomatic for MS and during his recent visit to a hospice; a nurse stated that six of her friends, who were heavy Diet Cokeaddicts, had all been diagnosed with MS. This is beyond coincidence!
Diet soda is NOT a diet product! It is a chemically altered, multiple SODIUM (salt) and ASPARTAME containing product that actually makes you crave carbohydrates. It is far more likely to make you GAIN weight! These products also contain formaldehyde, which stores in the fat cells, particularly in the hips and thighs. Formaldehyde is an absolute toxin and is used primarily to preserve 'tissue specimens.' Many products we use every day contain this chemical but we SHOULD NOT store it IN our body! Dr. H. J. Roberts stated in his lectures that once free of the 'diet products' and with no significant increase in exercise; his patients lost an average of 19 pounds over a trial period.

Aspartame is especially dangerous for diabetics. We found that some physicians, who believed that they had a patient with retinopathy, in fact, had symptoms caused by Aspartame. The Aspartame drives the blood sugar out of control. Thus diabetics may suffer acute memory loss due to the fact that aspartic acid and phenylalanine are NEUROTOXIC when taken without the other amino acids necessary for a good balance.
Treating diabetes is all about BALANCE. Especially with diabetics, the Aspartame passes the blood/brain barrier and it then deteriorates the neurons of the brain; causing various levels of brain damage,Seizures, Depression, Manic depression, Panic attacks, Uncontrollable anger and rage. Consumption of Aspartame causes these same symptoms in non-diabetics as well.

Documentation and observation also reveal that thousands of children diagnosed with ADD and ADHD have had complete turnarounds in their behavior when these chemicals have been removed from their diet. So called 'behavior modification prescription drugs' (Ritalin and others) are no longer needed. Truth be told, they were never NEEDED in the first place! Most of these children were being 'poisoned' on a daily basis with the very foods that were 'better for them than sugar.' It is also suspected that the Aspartame in thousands of pallets of Diet Coke and Diet Pepsi consumed by men and women fighting in the Gulf War, may be partially to blame for the well-known Gulf War Syndrome. Dr. Roberts warns that it can cause birth defects, i.e. mental retardation, if taken at the time of conception and during early pregnancy. Children are especially at risk for neurological disorders and should NEVER be given artificial sweeteners.

There are many different case histories to relate of children suffering grand mal seizures and other neurological disturbances talking about a plague of neurological diseases directly caused by the use of this deadly poison.' Herein lies the problem: There were Congressional Hearings when Aspartame was included in 100 different products and strong objection was made concerning its use. Since this initial hearing, there have been two subsequent hearings, and still nothing has been done. The drug and chemical lobbies have very deep pockets.

Sadly, MONSANTO'S patent on Aspartame has EXPIRED! There are now over 5,000 products on the market that contain this deadly chemical and there will be thousands more introduced. Everybody wants a 'piece of the Aspartame pie.' I assure you that MONSANTO, the creator of Aspartame, knows how deadly it is. And isn't it ironic that MONSANTO funds, among others, the American Diabetes Association, the American Dietetic Association and the Conference of the American College of Physicians?

This has been recently exposed in the New York Times. These [organizations] cannot criticize any additives or convey their link to MONSANTO because they take money from the food industry and are required to endorse their products. Senator Howard Metzenbaum wrote and presented a bill that would require label warnings on products containing Aspartame, especially regarding pregnant women, children and infants. The bill would also institute independent studies on the known dangers and the problems existing in the general population regarding seizures, changes in brain chemistry, neurological changes and behavioral symptoms. The bill was killed. It is known that the powerful drug and chemical lobbies are responsible for this, letting loose the hounds of disease and death on an unsuspecting and uninformed public. Well, you're informed now!

Clueless, Car-less Millionaire MNAs Declare Their Peanuts

Jamshed Dasti a pauper; Maulana Attaur Rehman almost poor

ISLAMABAD: We may find them clueless at times but according to their own affidavits, the majority of our MNAs is also carless. Unbelievable as it may sound, but according to the annual statements of assets and liabilities filed with the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), the majority of our Rolex-sporting and 10-carat ear-tops flaunting multi-millionaire members of the National Assembly don't even own a car, let alone any other mind dazzling assets.

Going by the filed statements, an overwhelming majority of our elected representatives is definitely way less financially blessed than most of us and appear people of modest means. But thank heavens for the exception of some who do own cars. President Asif Ali Zardari's close aide Farahnaz Ispahani has declared owning a BMW sedan (model 2007) worth $30,400. She stated in her declaration that her spouse (Ambassador Husain Haqqani) resides in the USA where most of the couple's assets are situated.

Her other assets are: Apartment No 3005, at 4301 Massachusetts Avenue, Washington DC 20036, bought in 2004 at $600,000, currently assessed value of $675,000; outstanding mortgage against the apartment $255,000 (it was $555,000 last year); investment in the form of stocks and shares $180,000 (it was $120,000 in the last declaration); balance in foreign currency account $46,000 and other balance of Rs60,000, Haqqani's bank balance $94,000; furniture and fixture of $36,500; jewellery of $24,000; Haqqani's gifted house No 135, St 65, F-10/3, Islamabad in 1997 to Hadia Nusrat (wife), Huda Haqqani, minor daughter and Muhammad Hammad Haqqani, minor son, acquitted in 1992 at Rs27,00,000.

President's political secretary, Rukhsana Bangash, also an MNA, owns a house (no address given either in this year's declaration or the previous one) worth Rs42,500,000 but otherwise she is not a rich lady. She owns 18 tolas of gold and other jewellery worth Rs370,000; has cash in hand of Rs20,000 and furniture and fixture of Rs130,000. She has no car.

PPP Information Secretary Fauzia Wahab also doesn't appear to be a woman of huge financial means. She has shown 16 acres of land in the name of her spouse valuing Rs320,000; advance of Rs53,000 paid for 114-M-4 in China Shopping Centre, Karachi, House No 70-G/11 PECHS Karachi for Rs65,000, Hundai car of Rs528,577 now valued at Rs420,000; 25 tolas of gold that she got at the time of her marriage valuing Rs825,000 and cash at hand and bank balance of Rs38,12,186.

Celebrated columnist Ayaz Amir is also a man of small financial means. He made interesting remarks like "alas", "wish I was that lucky" in his declaration. He has an old house in his village in Chakwal district built in 1938, which is valued at Rs300,000; has 1997 model Prado on lease from a company; has bank balance of Rs51,439 and Rs3,593, old furniture not worth any name, old market in Chakwal in children's name, and also a house in Chakwal in the name of son.

Hamza Shahbaz Sharif at least is a rich man on paper as well. He has a total of Rs70,098,850 investments - Chaudhry Sugar Mills (Rs6,238,850); Ramzan Sugar Mills (Rs1,160,000), Hamza Spinning Mills (Rs1,162,000); Muhammad Buksh Textile Mills (Rs3,443,000), Kalsoom Textile Mills (Rs50,000), Hudabiya Paper Mills (Rs3,030,000), Hudabiya Engineering Co. (Rs875,000), Khalid Siraj Industries (Rs100,000), Madni Trading Limited (Rs10,000), Madina Construction Company (Rs10,000), Sharif Feed Mills (Rs54,010,000), and Sharif Poultry Farms (Rs10,000).

He has shown unsecured loans of Rs138,237,028. Their details are: Mrs Shamim Akhtar Rs1,000,000, Mian M Shahbaz Sharif Rs500,814, Mrs Javeria Ali Rs588,735, Sharif Feed Mills Rs119,009,279, Sharif Poultry Farms Rs6,000,000, Madni Trading Limited Rs5,246,600 and Madina Construction Rs5,871,600.
