FBI Interview Trainer Shares Wisdom Informed With Years of Experience
By Thomas M. Loarie
"Interview Fitness Training" is as much about the author as it is about the book's content. Carole Martin, is a professional interviewer, coach, and a subject matter expert (SME) on interviewing. She coaches the FBI, among others, on interviewing techniques. She has written numerous books on interviewing including the bestseller and widely acclaimed "Boost Your Interview I.Q."
In "Interview Fitness Training," Martin covers the key issues - interview anxiety, you (the interviewee), preparation, interview concerns, salary negotiation, and after the interview. Along with Martins wisdom, informed by years of experience, the book includes useful worksheets that will be helpful in being all that you can be for any interview.
Martin does caution readers that not all jobs are tailored to our gifts and passions so one must be discerning when applying for a position. It is the interviewer's job to separate those who do not fit from those that do. It is the interviewee's job to highlight the fit when it exists. Seeking a position that is not a fit will lead to rejection and discouragement.
This is a great book for any interview situation.

Just what I needed
By JG
This book is concise and well written. I was able to clear up many questions I had about interviewing. The part on salary negotiations was very helpful as I often felt uncomfortable discussing or bargaining for the right salary. I would recommend this book to anyone requiring some interview coaching.
