5A Book Review
By JNGO
I bought this book for my nursing seminar class and I must say, I really like it!
I really appreciate the anecdotes and various case studies that helps the nursing prospective
student get the big picture about a certain concept in the clinical setting.
This book is a good book for understanding what nursing is all about.

2Interesting, very basic.
By sinisterLefty
Textbook is interesting I suppose, but very very basic, like 8th grade reading level at best. Perhaps the most (or only) useful section is the chapter which describes the historical backdrop from which professional nursing emerged, which provides a concise, readable narrative of modern nursing's development. Other than that, this book is hard to recommend. I guess its cheap, so that's a plus, but even so I'm not sure why you'd buy this book, given a cursory search returns many results pertaining to the same material collected herein. This text was part of a mandatory reading list for a nursing seminar, but it was barely touched, and for me and many of my peers, redundant, overly simple, and completely unnecessary for older, mature students.
