5Makes a somewhat obscure topic clear for authors who want to self-publish
By Kevin Sivils - KCS Basketball Enterprises
Since self-publishing several books I have learned a great deal about the publishing industry. This short book is one I wish had been available when I ventured into the business of self-publishing.

ISBNs and bar codes are not rocket science but if you are not familiar with these industry standard items, they can be confusing to say the least. Finding your way around the Bowkerlinks website to figure things out is not the easiest way to decipher all that is needed to know about ISBNs, what they are, what they are used for, how to register them, how to read them, etc.

Joel Friedlander does a great job of explaining everything you need to know about ISBNs and bar codes in order to self-publish your book.

This is a great little book and well worth the purchase price. If you are considering self-publishing this is a good investment for your "author's library."
