5HR career advice you can't find anywhere else.
By Jon Rupert
There are many excellent books on HR issues and competencies out there, but this one offers HR insights that you can't find anywhere else. You'll find fresh ideas, inspiration and practical information for the person at almost any stage of their HR career. It's written in an effective, straight-forward style and with doses of humor (and reality) which makes the book a particularly enjoyable read. Anyone who wants to improve their career in HR needs this book.

5A Must Have!
By Tanjia
This is a great book to have as a quick reference and reminder as to what makes an okay HR professional GREAT and stand out in the eyes of their business partners. Every HR person is doing themselves an injustice by not having this book in their library.

5The book is for "real" HR people.
By Julie K.
This is book not for the academic or theorist. This is for real HR people. As a previous VP of HR at PepsiCo, Collins has clearly been there, done that, and offers real-life, advice that can help you progress your career in the Human Resources field. Some of his best advice is a few sentences and others are a few pages long, but every single piece of advice he gives is inspiring, compelling and powerful. Just what I needed.
