I have been a homeowner for about 40 years. There are many times when having the information contained in this book would have been extremely useful. Are you a single woman who is responsible for your home? An Army wife? A male who is starting out on the home ownership thing or even those who are quite savvy...I thought we "knew it all" until we got this book. Now if we have an emergency we will refer to this book immediately. Not only for emergencies...we just moved into a new house and new houses bring new items to care for. This book simply lays out what you need to know about each part of your home. It is right. It can prevent costly repairs and will help you maintain one of your greatest investments. Very useful and interesting. Lots of "aha" moments. Highly recommended.

I've been looking for a book of this kind for a long time. I came across some similar items, but nothing that covered all of my expectations until now. This book covers Everything you need to know in nice simple steps. Even complex jobs, LIKE FIXING DEEP CRACKS IN YOUR HOMES FOUNDATION, seem simple enough for anyone to understand. I would recommend this book to everyone and am extremely happy to have found it. The info that is covered is well worth the price I paid. Even the all important safety tips are included.
I looked at a ton of similar books but none covered as wide of a range of topics and all seemed to make the jobs sound overly complex. This book gives you the confidence and information to tackle Any household job, no matter how much or little experience you may have and no matter how big or small of a job it is. I can't say enough good things about it! Buy yourself a copy as you will use this time and time again over the years!! Happy shopping!

I found this book extremely helpful with easy-to-understand tips for maintaining the inside/outside of my home. Immediately after reading the book, I implemented several simple tips and achieved the desired result - a better functioning system.
