I always enjoy Scott's books. He consistently delivers chills and surprisingly heart-warming insights that keep me in a state of eager anticipation. With the box set, I don't have to guess which one to buy next, I get to pick from what I already have. Of all his areas of inquiry, ghosts are a great way to go with Scott Nicholson.

I've read two of the books in this omnibus ('Speed Dating with the Dead' and 'Drummer Boy'). One of the other books here, 'The Red Church,' is Scott's most popular book (also his first book, I think). This omnibus is a ludicrously good deal. I've already written Amazon reviews for the two books I've read in this omnibus, but the first thing you'll find about Scott is that he can write with unusual skill, with grace and humor. He's a real pro, in so many ways. The characters feel real in the sense that they're believable, modern, flawed--in a way that makes you laugh and smile. My only warning is that Scott doesn't typically write endings with things wrapped up neatly at the end. If he did, he'd easily be my favorite modern writer. Instead, he's simply one of my top five favorite writers today. And with his works, it's about the journey rather than the destination. Don't miss the journey.
