Explains Job Search Secrets to Today's Essential "Social Search"
By S. Whitcomb
A recent JobVite Social Networking Survey notes that 89% of recruiters recruit via social networks, and 64% use two or more networks in their searches. Job seekers without a savvy social media strategy are playing Russian roulette with their search. This book lays out how to assemble and execute that strategy, clearly and cleanly, so you can be competitive and cut-short your job search. I'm grateful to have it on my desk as a reference/resource for my fellow career coaches and job seekers!

Job Searching with Social Media for Dummies
By Jean Chapin
Clearly written - practical ideas - with this book, the confusing world of social media is simplified.
As an older person, trying to maximize the potential for success in finding employment, I found this an easy to understand guide to how to use things like facebook, twitter, linked in, etc. Age related negatives are addressed directly and honestly. Concerns and fears are addressed as well. This is a whole new world for so many of us and this book really helped me understand it better.

Covers Everything You Need to Know For Leveraging Social Media During Your Job Search
By T. Elwell
For the last six months I have been studying personal branding and online reputation management and their best practices. Obviously, I was intrigued by this book when it came out and decided to see what it was all about. I know Joshua and know that he is very knowledgeable in the world of Job Search and Social media- but I have to say that he has really outdone himself with this book. Not only does it help readers establish a personal brand, but it gives them the information they need to leverage social media in a way that will help them instead of hurt them. He provides incredible tools that give you a better understanding of the world of personal branding and even goes as far as to list off the common mistakes that people make while using social media (trust me, more people make these mistakes than you can imagine).
If you're entering the job market for the first time as a college graduate, entering it again because of the job market, or simply looking for a new job and do not have a personal brand or know what social media is- I recommend Joshua's book as the first thing you should read to get you started.
