5CHALLANGING, USEFUL AND YOU GET FAR MORE THAN WHAT YOU PAY. What a delightful collection of puzzles this one is.
By D. Blankenship
What a delightful Kindle download this one was! In this day and age it is so nice to get your monies' worth out of your hard earned dollar. This is most certainly the case here!

This is a collection of 100 visual puzzles (quizzes, if you will) which go from relatively easy; easy but challenging, to ones that present some difficulties and truly make you think. Now keep in mind that you are talking to an older guy here who throughout his life has had great problems with any sort of spatial puzzles and great, great problems visualizing geometric designs and diagrams. My brain simply does not work that way. I say this because I probably had more problems working through these puzzles than an "ordinary" person would.

It should be noted though that despite the fact that I am technologically challenged, (Read that as absolutely clueless as to electronic products such as smart phones, iPads, and even lap top computers, and to a great extent, by beloved Kindle) I found that I had no problem what so ever in navigating this program on my Kindle. At first I thought I would and even felt a bit intimidated by the excellent instructions provided by the author. But after working through four or three of the quizzes I suddenly "got it," and at that point the navigation become almost second nature for me.

While there is no color on the Kindle, that posed no problems what so ever. I suppose it would be prettier on some other device, but it is certainly not necessary to fully enjoy and learn from this little book.

I have recently had to spend a tremendous amount of time setting in various waiting rooms in the various offices of physicians. I always take my Kindle for reading and I must tell you that setting working these problems between my reading bouts was a refreshing change of pace. I have also noted that working such problems helps me stay a bit mentally sharper, and goodness knows I need all the help in that area I can get. Between my books, my crossword puzzle books I always carry and this nice little gathering of puzzles, I find that time goes by so much more quickly. It is so much better than watching ESPN or Lifetime movies on the T.V. located in these waiting rooms.

You most certainly get far more than you paid for with this one and I do highly recommend it.

5A gorgeous book of new puzzles
By Ed Pegg
This is the first truly great puzzle book I've seen for the Kindle. Many image-intensive books have not converted well for the Kindle, and others weren't all that original.

This book is different. If you're new to puzzles, then here 100 new puzzles for you to try out. More importantly, if you're *not* new to puzzles, then here are 100 new puzzles for you to try out.

Take a look at the sample pages that are provided. This is easily the most gorgeously illustrated book I've seen on the Kindle. One note -- these puzzles have great images, but are not interactive puzzles (yet).

Strimko is another great logic game for the Kindle by the Grabarchuks, and that one happens to be interactive, but there isn't nearly as much variety as in this book.

5Challenging, Mind-Expanding & Fun!
By Livin' La Vida Low-Carb Man
I'm a sucker for a good puzzle book, but I've never had an ebook version before. The touchscreen interactivity is an added bonus to the typical paper versions of this genre of book. If you have a Kindle, iPad or iPhone, then you could literally spend hours with these challenging, mind-expanding and fun puzzles. Keeps your mind sharp!
